Exercise Ball for Toning the Stomach

Using an exercise ball for toning the stomach area is highly recommended as part of your exercise routine.
If you are not familiar with an exercise ball, it is basically a large inflatable ball that can be used as part of a fitness workout. They are relatively inexpensive to purchase and you’ll find them in all good fitness stockists.
They are an awesome tool for strengthening the mid section of the body often called the “core”. Core stability allows you to train for effectively because you’ll be able to do more reps or lift heavier weights. It is also vital for gaining that six pack as your abs become more toned.
A common abs ball exercise is called the roll out. This is quite a simple exercise to perform but works great at tightening and toning your stomach area. You start by kneeling down in front of your ball and place your hands on top of it. Then roll yourself forward so that you can feel your abs tightening and hold the position for a couple of seconds. Then return to the starting position and repeat the exercise.
Another great abs ball exercise is the basic crunch. This is done just like a normal sit up but on the actual ball itself. It works better than a basic sit up because you have to keep yourself balanced on the ball, which means you are using more muscles to do it. This means you are burning more calories too.
Using an exercise ball for toning the stomach area is one of the best ways to lose the excess fat and also to firm up your flabby abs. If you haven’t got one already then maybe it is time you did.
