Exercise ball exercises can be extremely effective on your weight loss if you perform them correctly. In this article we will look at some of the most popular exercises you can do on the exercise ball and look at why they work so well.
You’ve no doubt seen the exercise balls on TV or even in your local sports and fitness store. They are quite cheap to buy and come in a variety of different colours and sizes to match every individuals taste. There are millions of dollars worth sold every year because they work so well.
The thing with exercise balls is that they are all similar quality and do the same job, so you don’t have to buy the most expensive one because they all do the same thing. They are all just a large inflatable ball!
There are generally 3 different sizes to exercise balls – the 55cm, 65cm and the 75cm. Depending on how tall you are will decide which ball is right for you.
The important thing when performing exercise ball exercises is to make sure you have your balance at all times. You don’t want to fall of them and injure yourself. That is why you should find an open area to exercise in. You don’t want tables or furniture too close just in case you lose your balance!
Once you have learned how to balance yourself on the ball you can try basic crunches. Just lie flat on the ball facing up and do the basic sit up. Remember to do them slowly and keep your balance at all times. Once you have mastered the basic crunch you can move onto other exercises.
Exercise ball exercises are more effective on your core body because you are keeping balance and using more muscles to do it.
