Crucial Six Pack Abs Tips
June 15, 2009 by admin
One of the most common reasons why people fail when trying to build a six pack is that they don’t focus on more than one exercise. They think that by just doing sit ups regularly will be enough to make them look like Hugh Jackman. Well as we all know, the six pack area needs a lot of training and only using a variety of different exercises is going to accomplish this.
So here are some crucial six pack abs tips to get you started:
Abs Tip #1 – Know Your Carbs
You must know which carbs will help your workout and which will only harm your progress. Some carbs really won’t do more than sit on top of your abs and cover them up. So you need to know what to eat and what to avoid. Common carbs to avoid are white bread, potatoes, sugary drinks, rice etc. Instead you can substitute these for wholemeal bread, sweet potatoes, low sugar drinks or water and brown rice. There are always alternatives if you look hard enough and do your research.
Abs Tip #2 – Flex in Your Spare Time
You don’t always have to be at the gym to work your abs. You can do it whilst sitting in your office or even in the car. Just take a deep breathe and tense your ab muscles together, hold the position for 5-10 seconds then exhale and relax them. Do this 20 times and you’ve given yourself an ab workout whilst just sitting down.
Abs Tip #3 – Rest
As with your other muscle groups, it is important to allow them to rest and recuperate. So try not to train them everyday. Give them a day off and concentrate on other muscle groups. This way they will grow much quicker and stronger.
We hope you enjoyed these quick six pack abs tips and will put them to good use.
