Abs Exercises at Home
June 17, 2009 by admin
The abs require so much training that many people use abs exercises at home as a way to keep themselves in shape and develop a six pack. Often it is not enough to train them 3-4 times a week in the gym and doing them at home is just more convenient.
Fortunately there are quite a variety of abs exercises at home you can perform. Many don’t require equipment and can be done from any room in the home that has a flat and stable surface to lie on.
The most popular of all abs exercises is the crunch or basic sit up. Everyone knows how to do these and they work very well. Just be sure to pull up your upper body using your abs only and not pulling yourself up with your hands behind your head. Your hands should just be supporting your head, not pulling it up.
A great variation on the crunch is the twist or bicycle crunch as it can be also called. Again very easy to do. Lie completely flat on your back, and then lift up one knee so it comes close to your body. Put your hands behind your head and twist the opposing elbow so that it touches the knee. Then lower down and repeat with your other leg. This “twist” is working the lower abs very tightly and can speed up the growth of the abdominal muscles.
The abs ball or exercise ball is a great tool for working out at home. Cheap to buy and easy to use but also massively effective on strengthening up your stomach muscles.
So we have just mentioned a few abs exercises at home you can do today. There are many more, so don’t delay as you will get that six pack faster the more you train!
